Veterinary Quarantine and Safety Services Facility，is based on the multi-disciplinary comprehensive system of virology, microbiology, parasitology, immunology, pharmacology, experimental zoology, animal medicine, genetics, clinical laboratory science, pathology and so on. It integrates clinical quarantine, animal diagnosis and treatment, prevention and control, and aims at ensuring the quality of experimental animals and serving life science research.

The platform can detect parasites, bacteria and virus infection in experimental animals, such as mice，rats, rabbits, dogs, miniature pigs and non-human primates, and analyze the genetic characteristics, pathological morphology, serum biochemical indexes and blood physiological indexes of the experimental animals. At the same time, the platform also undertakes the research of new projects, new methods and new technologies involving the detection and pathophysiology of pathogens in laboratory animals.
